I will share with you 23 scary Halloween party themes for adults only because that will scare the wits out of your guests, family, and friends.👻
Scary outdoor Halloween decoration ideas
Even if most people do not come inside your house even the trick-or-treaters but all those in the neighborhood or passerby will look at your porch for sure. So the only thing we should make sure is that it is the best part of the house when it comes to our Halloween decor.
Let us start with decorating our front porch then we will move to the inside of our house and then the backyard. I have it all planned and covered for you guys. So sit back and read the article for a spooky journey!
A very very simple idea yet very spookily attractive. Get your hands on some big and small pumpkins, a few lamps of varying sizes as shown in the pictures. Scatter some leaves and since it is fall season you will find plenty of them on the ground.
Be careful of those leaves as they can get slippery and we do not want any mishaps on our ghost party day. 👻
1. Glass Pumpkin
2. Artificial White Pumpkins
This is another awesome way and very creative as well. Make a signboard like this and have some fun with those colors and creativity. Next, you can put a witch’s broom on your staircase. Who knows maybe at midnight you can take a tour to the moon and fly on your broomstick!
You can buy these from amazon from the links given below.
2.”Sign Eat Drink and be” Scary
This has to be my favorite piece of decoration on my porch. I made it myself by taking soft wood which can be worked with easily and which does not break. Made some branches out of it.
On the branches, I attached some artificial reddish autumn styled leaves on the bottom. For the top, I took three artificial sunflowers and attached/ glued to them three skulls on each of them.
You can buy this skull from Amazon at a cheap price!
You can shine some light from beneath and it looks breath takingly scary.
This pumpkin in my porch reminds me of hell! 😈
It is super easy to make and adds so much horror to your decor that I bet you already love it.
Since I love making stuff myself so I made this pumpkin with spooky hands too. All of my friends and family members loved it and took so many photos with it and that made me super happy and pleased with myself.
You can get the Pumpkin from here:
Signboards are my personal favorites and you do not even have to spend a penny to make them.
RIP GRAVEYARD TOMBSTONES
Tombstones oh God! I love these spooky tombstones. Rest in peace oh no no no darling since it is Halloween so you may “Rest in PIECES”.😈
Tombstones have their own way of adding that dark cemetery feels to the porch’s decor and the reason why I love them is that they are just one simple piece doing so much.
Woah isn’t that spine chilling to look at! You can also decorate a corner on your porch with a skull and some pumpkins like that and trust me this will be a nightmare this Halloween and your house will be trending because of it. This can also serve as a haunted spooky photo booth.
This decoration idea for the porch is not only on the scary side but for sure is my favorite and I decorated a corner next to the entrance about two or three years ago. And I still miss it and absolutely love it. 🦇
You can get waterproof Led Fairy Lights from Amazon at a very cheap price with good quality!
Halloween living room decor ideas
“Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.” Is the motto of our living room! And we will impress our visitors with some hella good decorations this Halloween. ⚰️
If you find a skull like that then you are definitely spending those extra bucks on it! This on the entrance of the house looks so blood curdling and scary.
You can always get the skull mentioned above on Amazon if you like that one.
You can also hang it on the door or the front wall where it is visible clearly.
Our amazingly spooky chandelier which looks too good.
You can find the Spider webs from Here.
You can add a few hanging spiders to it in different colors. The spider webs add so much definition to the theme of our festival. I personally not only find them really creepy but too good at the same time.
I like to keep the insides of my house pretty simple and clean but it is Halloween and it demands some work.
So I bought some artificial pumpkins from the dollar store and these skulls as well. I already had the glass rose holders in which I placed the skulls and as you can see they look breathtakingly awesome. A small tombstone added to the definition of the look.
You can utilize this idea in your living room by placing a lightweight wooden barrel in a corner and place these decor items like a black light up pumpkin, a mini tombstone, and few pumpkins in the background.
It looks neat and beautiful and at the same time completes the Halloween look.
For the center piece in the living room on the dining table, I love this metallic pumpkin which is so elegant and beautiful. Makes the dining hall look absolutely stunning and shiny with its metallic feel.
The orange and yellow palette of the flowers is the perfect blend for the fall theme.
Make some spell books and get that inner witch inside of you to get to work!
I love this look for my bedroom actually on my side table. But if you like you can also do that for your living room or over your fireplace and it will look equally haunting. Satisfying that look of Halloween which we all love! A skull on top is like a cherry on top of the cake.
This one here is a carved skull which is a little expensive but if you get your hands on one you cannot help but buy it.
How to make a haunted house in your backyard
Now for the highlight of where the party will go down and all hell breaks loose is our very own backyard.
So we will decorate it in the most gruesome way possible! So let us move on to the point.
The red theme looks absolutely frightening and spooky and that’s exactly what we are looking for! You can put big spot lights in red on the floor facing upwards.
Also some green light too which will add more gore and scary.
Hey! Say Hi to our skeleton buddies there. Hahaha they are the best pair for Halloween backyard party, aren’t they?
I love them honestly they fulfill their part for the Halloween party. You can buy them from Amazon as I did.
Look at this holy terror kind of beauty you guys!
The red theme in the background, those yellow fairy lights you can also go with green. I love the hanging skeleton at the back too with his jaw open in aww as he looks at our beautifully decorated backyard. 😂
Spook your guests with this groundbreaker zombie. You can have it next to the Graveyard Tombstones that I mentioned above, these two Halloween prop will look best together.
Once again folks yes pumpkins! Light up pumpkins have been my first love ever since I have been celebrating halloween. I don’t know why but they are simple and because of that you can do so much things with them and make them look absolutely ridiculously scary and haunting.
Pumpkins in orange are no doubt a great option to go with but these green spray painted pumpkins look even more bood curdling!
I love their spooky vibe and if wrapped in green small fairy lights Oh My God! They look sick. You are definitely trying this idea out on this halloween.
Do you love dolls like I do? But here’s the deal we don’t love them dolls because they pretty. We love them because they make us scream loud which can shake the hell!
Put some liquid glue on different spots here and there over the doll and throw sand on it. Then you can put light spiderwebs on it to make it look more nasty. Oh yes!
This life size Unicorn Skeleton in the center of the backyard can you imagine how gruesome it looks there. Yes absolutely creepy! With some purple lights and green light inside the Unicorn Skeleton oh man why am I getting goosebumps.
I tried this look a few years back and it freaked everyone out. As it looks like some spells went wrong and the wicked witch just got sent to hell! With her spell book burnt and her skull that’s only left of her behind.
Want to but this skull? :
Best Scary Faceless Hanging Grim Reaper to add to your Halloween decoration this year! It looks like a total creepster out there! And we love it.
Isn’t it amazing how a simple thing has the power to scare the wits out of everyone? I find it pretty awesome!
